Jacqueline Katz began her yoga practice 20 years ago for the physical aspects. In her words, I was out of shape and could not bend over much less touch my toes. I stuck with yoga because of the sense of focus and peace I experienced during practice and off the mat as well. I truly began to experience self-examination and awareness and the connection of mind, body and spirit.
To deepen my understanding of yoga, I completed Blue Anjou's Breathe into Awareness program in Lewisville, Texas. As an RYT 200, I have continued my studies and spiritual journey to include meditation, mindfulness, trauma informed yoga and yin yoga.
I am a trained Y12SR leader (Yoga for 12 Step Recovery) and Reiki practitioner. I enjoy teaching yin, hatha and meditation classes. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. My work as a therapist is strongly influenced by mindfulness, meditation practice, and yoga principles.
