Is getting up and down off of the ground difficult for you? Do you have swelling in your hands, knees, hips, or feet? Have you been curious about yoga but intimidated by the intense poses that you see in the media?
Well, come on in, sit back, and relax because we’ve got just the thing for you!
Chair yoga combines the use of props with mobility and stretching in a safety first method. Using the chair during yoga can protect joints from inflammation, increase active range of motion, relieve tension in tight muscle groups, and improve your balance and coordination.
If you have arthritis, osteoarthritis, or prefer low impact exercises, this class is for you. Options will be given during the session to increase difficulty if you need more of a challenge.
Mae is excited to share all the tips and techniques of chair yoga that have helped to relieved her chronic joint pain symptoms and improve her quality of life over the past 13 years.
