Beginner Series with Mae
Consistent Kindness: A 6-week Beginner Series Whether you have done yoga before, taking a beginner course is always a good idea!
During our next 6-week beginner series, Consistent Kindness, we will explore what it means to show up everyday in a peaceful way. Practicing the basics of yoga from our last beginners series Apply the Basics we will review timeless movements that inspire the mind and tone the body.
Appealing to your physical, mental, and emotional well-being, a consistent yoga practice requires one simple thing for you to do: just show up. If you are looking for long-term benefits such as an improved mood, better sleep, and strengthened immune system, consistency in your yoga practice is key.
You deserve to find tranquility. Transform doubt into confidence. Manifest strength while being supported.
One of the number one challenges we face as a community today is overstimulation. Because we’re being pulled in all of these different directions, it’s really easy to feel lost and confused. When you’re in the middle of everyone else’s agendas, it’s easy to forget your own.
When was the last time you checked in with your true nature? How often do you pause and reflect on gratitude? Why are you thinking about starting, or restarting, your yoga journey?
Each week will have a different theme:
Showing Up to Breathe: Breathwork and easy poses from the chair.
Avoiding Injury: the three most common yoga injuries and how to avoid them by using a chair.
Props Please: different ways to use different props to help you transition on and off the floor.
Walk the Talk: short journaling prompt and invigorating yoga flow on your feet.
I Got Your Back: 10 poses to help alleviate back pain and strengthen core muscles Kindness Starts with Me: gentle yoga flow and guided meditation you can take home with you.
