Some people think of Savasana as the “”reward”” after the work out, while some find discomfort in “”quieting the mind””, but did you know there are actually important benefits to Savasana?
Savasana calms the central nervous system, aids the digestive system, and reduces stress and anxiety. It also aids and supports the immune system, calms the mind and can promote a mindfulness practice.
It also helps to lower blood pressure, and reduces headaches, and fatigue. Savasana promotes spiritual awakening and awareness of higher consciousness.
Who knew!? It’s not just the nap at the end of yoga! 🙂
